Started in 1999 by Sheik Dawood in a very small way before the departmental store ‘Royal Shoppe’ gas grown over years more in popularity. First to introduce varieties in sandwiches like chocolate, paneer, mushroom, gobi vadakaari, spinach. Olive, Brownie and others. Became famous by fusion of Indo’western sandwich varieties. Once in Chennai, there were only five varieties of sandwiches. Sheik Dawood thought, when there are different kinds of people, then why not different varieties as sandwiches. Once this idea is put into practice, Sheik Dawood has now 143 varieties to offer. These inspirational varieties of sandwiches have made people from other shops also to start to make different varieties of sandwiches.

Royal Sandwich has now joined hands with Lingesh Foods opened its fourth outlet to cater to the customers in around T.Nagar at Shankar business space near Pondy bazaar Post Office. Lingesh, an engineering entrepreneur, has come to take forward the novel concept of Royal Sandwich by offering varieties of veg.sandwiches at affordable prices with quality ingredients in an air conditioned environment with good ambience.
